Phuentsholing - Thimphu (Stay in Thimphu)
The distance between Phuentsholing and Thimphu is 175 km and estimated driving time: 5 hours After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.), the capital city of Bhutan. As you traverse the mountainous roads, make a stop at Gedu Stupa, moving forward witness Wangkha waterfalls, stop for lunch and enjoy the drive through Bhutanese country side. In the evening, indulge in a captivating city walk around Clock Tower, Thimphu city, on your own. Thimphu is not only renowned for its cultural landmarks bur also its vibrant nightlife. Sightseeing in Thimphu (Stay in Thimphu)
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get picked up from the hotel, tentatively at 8:30 AM, for local sightseeing as listed below Takin Preserve which houses the national animal the Takin that is only found in Bhutan. This is an extremely rare member of the goat family. Found in herds in the very high altitutes (13,125ft and over). They live on a diet of grass and bamboo. It can weigh as much as 550 pounds. Simply Bhutan: is a living museum that provides insight into traditional Bhutanese life and culture. Participate in cultural activities such as archery and traditional dance, taste local wine Aara. Budha Point / Kuensel Phodrang: This massive Buddha statue is 51.5 meters in height and it is one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world. The statue is made of bronze and gilded in gold. The throne that the Buddha Dordenma sits upon is a large meditation hall. Dochula Pass: This day involves a journey to Paro En-route, Dochula Pass and its 108 chorten is located at an elevation of 3,988m. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Thimphu - Transfer to Paro - Sightseeing (Stay in Paro)
After breakfast ride towards Thimphu and after lunch visit following places in Paro: National Museum of Bhutan: located within the iconic Ta Dzong, serves as a custodian of the nation’s historical treasures. With over 3,000 artefacts spanning more than 1,500 years, the museum provides an immersive experience, allowing visitors to delve into the rich tapestry of Bhutanese history. From ancient bronze paintings and statues to traditional costumes, weapons, and handcrafted implements, the museum presents a comprehensive panorama of Bhutan’s Cultural Revolution. Rinpung Dzong view: Highlight of the day, just before entering Paro town enjoy the enchanting night view of Rinpung Dzong! As the sun sets, the fortress-monastery lights up, creating a magical ambiance that’s sure to leave you spellbound. It’s a sight you won’t want to miss! Don’t forget to capture this mesmerizing sight with Bhutanese attire in some beautiful photos. Visit, Kyichu Lhakhang which is one of Bhutan's oldest and most beautiful temples. The main chapel has roots as far back as the 7th century, with additional buildings and a golden roof added in 1839 by the Penlop (governor) of Paro and the 25th Je Khenpo. Elderly pilgrims constantly shuffle around the temple spinning its many prayer wheels, making this one of the most charming spots in the Paro valley. In the evening, explore Paro Town.

Hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) (Stay in Phuentsholing)
After breakfast, drive for about 30 minutes to the base of Taktsang Monastery and then hike up to Taktsang Monastery, also known as ‘Tiger’s Nest’. The walk up to the viewpoint will take about 1 – 1 ½ hours depending on your fitness and from View Point you will enjoy spectacular view of the monastery clinging to the side of the cliff. Stop for refreshment at the View Point Cafeteria. Takes photos with great view of Taktsang behind you. Then walk further up to the monastery which will take about 1 hour. After visiting the monastery, walk downhill back to the road on the way stop for lunch at the view point cafeteria and then walk further downhill to the road point. After completing the hike, you will be transferred to Phuentsholing. Upon reaching Phuentsholing, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the night at leisure. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
